How did I get here?
I, like many of us who lost their job in these crazy times, was unsure what my future had in store for me. I never could have guessed I’d be working with this team, helping create this thing called ExamRoom Live. When my two friends, Pete Ferrante and Josh Lopez, told me about what they were cooking up and asked if I wanted to work with them, I thought, ”where do I fit into this?”
I have an illustration background, but I’m not exactly the most tech-savvy. Which they told me is why they wanted an outsider’s perspective on what they were putting together. So even though I was initially hesitant to accept due to my own insecurities, I knew I wanted to be part of this.
Figuring out ways to enhance your experience using ExamRoom Live to be the best it can be is a pretty sweet gig. Whether it’s coming up with mockups for new features or tracking down pesky bugs and working with the developers to address a scenario that wasn’t initially considered during feature planning. Like illustration, I get a real satisfaction of learning the process and seeing a concept evolve into something that functions the way it was intended. We have a great team where everyone’s input is valued and each helps one another to find solutions.
So it was fun to share a little bit of how I wound up here and be able to finally talk about what we’ve been working on. I look forward to sharing more behind-the-scenes details in the future and seeing where this thing goes from here!
