Welcome to the ExamRoom Live Blog!

My name is Josh Lopez and I am one of the founders of ExamRoom Live. When we first started kicking around the idea for what would eventually become ExamRoom Live, we wanted to create something that could help simplify running a business. Something like the Google Suite or Office 365 but for tasks related to daily operations. Something centralized so users could just log in when they started their day and log out when they were finished. My partner, Pete Ferrante, and I had both run small businesses in the past, so we felt especially passionate about this idea. As we started to discuss the core features of the app things really started to take shape.

Pete: What is the first thing users do when they get to work?

Josh: Coffee

Pete: Can we do anything with that?

Josh: No

Pete: What else do they do?

Josh: Clock in?

Pete & Josh: Okayyyy

This process was repeated with input from friends, family, and most importantly, our dev team. Once we started our technical design and market research efforts things were looking good until the pandemic hit. As with most businesses, this challenged us in a lot of ways. How do we stay relevant in a time of uncertainty? How do we keep the team focused on the mission? Does this still make sense to build? Fortunately for us, Pete and I had the same train of thought.

Josh: We need to rework our roadmap

Pete: Yup…move telehealth up

Josh: Yeah, but it needs to be easy to use, like very easy.

Pete: Yup…move eFax up too.

Josh: Yeah and that needs to be modernized, eFax is so archaic

Pete: Yup, let’s bring the team in on it

Josh: Okay, I got an idea for the tech

Pete: I would hope so.

Over the last year, we have grinded to build ExamRoom Live into what it is today. An easy-to-use SaaS app that works on all devices and uses cutting-edge technologies. In this blog, we will go into all of these topics in more detail, maybe more than you care for but we are excited about what we did and can’t stop talking about it. Our team is diverse, creative, resourceful, and has a great sense of humor. We will also bring in Guest authors to give their views of our industry and help continue to widen our perspective.

We hope you come back for more posts like these and are looking forward to the journey ahead.
